A BIG 10th Anniversary Present

Sooooo....it's been quite a while since I posted but my have I been busy! The kids are getting so big and there is much to report. Chick is just about 6 1/2 and Herm is the ripe old age of 15 months. They are doing great. So is the pregnancy......ummmm.....yeah.....you read right :) I AM PREGNANT!!!!! It is extremely early. I am 4 weeks 2 days to be exact. We did a Frozen Embryo Transfer. I have lots to discuss but we have been dealing with fertility issues for 10 years due to my PCOS. I'll explain that later. But anyway, Herm was an IVF baby and this lil bean was conceived at the same time as him. We had two embryos transferred in on November 2nd. I tested Sunday morning (November 8th) and was SHOCKED to see that it worked! The line was sooo light but it was made official 11-12 with a blood test. My hcg number was 106 and we need that number to double for my next blood test on Monday. We are so excited!!! Happy Anniversary to us!! If anyone stumbles across this blog between now and then please feel free to say a prayer or two for us. We really want this baby and see it as such a blessing! Chick is in Cheerleading and absolutely loves it! She has 4 competitions coming up and all she wants to do is cheer! Herm started running about 3 weeks ago. He is such a sweet lil bugger!! He will be holding something that he knows that he should not have and just look at you...we will then say "No Herm" and he will throw whatever it is he was holding and run away as fast as his lil legs will carry him. Everything is Hi Bye or Uh Oh right now. They are both so fun! Well...gotta get to bed. It is 12:15 am on my 10th wedding anniversary and I better get to sleep. I have a baby to grow, and two to keep up with tomorrow as well as have a nice anniversary with hubby...YEAH!

Last Call for 34!!!

Wow! It really is my last call for 34! I sit here writing this post at 11:06pm on March 12th. In one hour it will be my birthday.........my 35th birthday. It makes me sad. It shouldn't...I mean what is the alternative......dead? Rather be 35! Where did the years go? Where is my youth? I still feel 18. I no longer will be considered "my early 30's". If I get pregnant again I will actually be considered "advanced maternal age". I am sitting here wishing that there would be someone within the next 45 minutes or so ask me how old I am so that for one last time I could say "I'm 34" and not be lying about it :) SCARY!!! I am now going to be 35!!!! As of today I am married to a 39 year old!! I am married to an old man!! How did my lil 25 year old stud muffin who I met in a bar get to be pushin 40!!?? But seriously, I will look forward to the future and all that I have accomplished and WILL accomplish as a 35 year old me....after all, even at 35 I AM DOING IT ALL!!! :)

What Am I Doing Here?

Who would have thought that I would be sitting here at a computer a week before my 35th birthday with a husband that I have known since I was young, two kids that I went to hell and back to get, a house right around the corner from my parents and a school bag flung over a shoulder. I don't really know why I am starting this blog. The little reminder on the left of this reminds me that I don't have any followers....but that is ok for now. I think I am writing just to write. I think for now I will use this as a diary of sorts. Don't get me wrong, if you care to stay here and read it...feel free! Grab a cup of coffee and read on. I don't claim to be a writer. I am just a busy wife and mom who is extremely busy yet lovin every second of my life. The ups AND the downs. Well....I don't love the downs but they too shall pass. As I write this blog my husband is still out of a job. He has been for 19 months now. The economy is in the toilet and there really are no jobs to even apply for. He rarely even gets an interview and when he does he stands ina room with like 50 people hearing an overview of the company and then leaving his resume behing (now if that doesn't scream "Don't let the door hit ya in the ass" I'm not sure what does! ) My daughter "Chick" is five and a half and my son "Herm" is 7 months old. They are truly the light if my life. They are amazing! No really....I am not biased at all....they are AMAZING ;) I am also working a full tie job four days a week and going to school three days a week. Life is hectic...but SO wonderful! I am in the middle of applying for Our Lady of Lourdes nursing school. I had to take the NET test yesterday and passed with a math overall grade of 88, English overall grade of 76 and my ranking was 91. I was thrilled! I felt such a weight lifted from me when that was over! Only about another million other hurdles to go over!
